Zero Trust Engineer - Noblis

About the Job
Noblis is seeking a Zero Trust Engineer for an effort to provide systems engineering and integration of Naval software systems on site at NIWC Atlantic in Charleston, SC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technology as it relates to Zero Trust and Identity Management
- Integrate ICAM DoN with CANES systems
- Develop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancements
- Investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groups
- Develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
- Provide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings
- Provide in-depth research and analysis of issues and new technologies
- Prepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teams
- Integrate COTS and GOTS software into CANES baselines
- Install test branches on physical hardware on lab equipment as first level integration tests
- Verify install documentation is executable
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date
- DoD 8140\8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and applying them into infrastructure and application security policies
- Knowledge of Network Segmentation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Just-in-Time access, and Principle of Least Privilege
- Experience with Active Directory including user permissions and attributes as well as trusts for identity management
- Experience with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) principles and design
- Experience with configuring and managing infrastructure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and IAM solutions
- Experience with designing and implementing security solutions for network, system, and application security
- Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Experience in IT modernization, enterprise architecture, system integration, automation platforms and security.
- Experience working with senior-level stakeholders, providing technical input to leadership and developing comprehensive documentations such as presentations, whitepapers, and proposals
- Ability to effectively install, configure, and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environment
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell is critical as it is heavily leveraged to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasks
- Ability to automate the installation and configuration of applications
- Working knowledge and experience with Agile framework and Scrum
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS and networking from a system design perspective
- Ability to create and test virtualized environments (VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, AWS) for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirements
- Working knowledge and experience of System Engineering processes and procedures
- Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users, engineers, managers, and organizations
- Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment
- Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
- Experience with leading and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of technical IT experience (OR Master's + 3 years of experience OR Associate's + 8 years of experience)
Desired Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering
- Security certification (i.e. CISSP, GDSA, CCZT, CCNP Security)
- Microsoft certification (i.e., MCIT, MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
- Experience with SailPoint\Radiant Logic\Ping Federate
- Experience with Git, familiarity with Bitbucket, Confluence and Jira
- Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust Strategy
- Knowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE, Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revision
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform playbook creation and development
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (Bash\Python\HTML\JAVA)
- Experience with RedHat Ansible or Satellite
- Experience with VMWare virtual infrastructure
- Experience with Linux administration and BASH scripting

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
