Salary - $32,500 - $35,000
Education Requirements: Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED. The specialist shall attest to being in recovery for a minimum of two year from a substance-related disorder.
Duties / Responsibilities: Ensures he identification, support, and presence of TAY representation and voice in their region and implementation of TAYLRD and TAY specifics initiatives. The Youth Coordinator is an integral part of making a change for TAY in the community. The YPSS will be responsible for the provision of individual and group support to youth and young adult, serve as a role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. YPSS will advocate on behalf of consumers and inform supervisor of issues/concerns related to individual consumers. Will support activities necessary to allow clients to live with maximum independence within the community.
Skills / Knowledge: Will assist in providing a safe, secure, supervised 24-hour environment for stabilization of psychiatric crisis including both the stabilization of acute psychiatric symptoms and functioning. The YPSS will be responsible for the provision of individual and group support to youth and young adults, serve as a role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. YPSS will advocate on behalf of consumers and inform supervisor of issues/concerns related to individual consumers.
