Youth Program Director - Family YMCA of Greater Augusta

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Branch Executive Director, the Youth Program Director is responsible for the planning, organization, delivery, administration, and quality of YMCA programs to members, program participants and the community. The Youth Program Director oversees the Marshall and Steiner Family YMCAs after school programs, summer day camp and provides a year-round comprehensive youth sports program. The Youth Program Director is responsible for the training, development and communication among staff, parents, coaches, and volunteers.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

25 part-time, non-exempt program staff and 250 volunteers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires a full range of motion, including strong back, legs and arms, manual and finger dexterity, and eye/hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Work requires being able to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods of time as well as working irregular hours. The work environment is split between indoor office activities and outdoor programs. Some travel is required.
