• License is Required (LMSW / PLPC, LCSW/LPC)
• Preference will be given to those with prior supervisory experience.

About the Youth Day Treatment (YDT) Program:
The Youth Day Treatment program provides services to youth in grades 1-12 who require a step-down or an alternative to inpatient care or partial hospitalization, or as transitional care following an inpatient or partial hospitalization stay in order to facilitate return to the community or to prevent or minimize the need for more intense or restrictive level of treatment. The Day Treatment Program provides services that are more intensive than outpatient treatment and will serve persons who need a structured, behavioral health setting for daytime activities. In this program, consumers are typically with have schooling for half of the day, and therapeutic interventions the other half. When school is not in session, the focus shifts to primarily therapeutic intervention/activities.

About the YDT Manager Position:

As the YDT Manager, you would be responsible for managing and overseeing the YDT program for the Jackson YDT Program. You would be responsible for supervising the Family Assistance Workers (direct care staff), the YDT Case Manager, and the YDT Therapist.

The Youth Day Treatment Manager is responsible for providing interventions based on the client’s treatment plan for the purpose of helping the clients remain in school, community and in the home (prevent psychiatric hospitalization), and to improve overall functioning. You will oversee all areas within the programs functioning to ensure clients’ needs are being met while aiming to improve clients’ overall functioning. You would also work in collaboration with the school district to promote a healthy working relationship between agencies, and improve the quality of transitions for clients back to their home school building. You will also work alongside outside agencies and internal programs to ensure the treatment and transitions are established to meet the clients’ and family’s needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities YOU Have:

• Communication: You can effectively communicate with a diverse team, whether that be your staff you supervise, other internal programs, external agencies, or other referral sources.
• Documentation: You understand the importance of the phrase "if you didn't document, it didn't happen"; you also are comfortable with using electronic records and know how to manage your time wisely to ensure documentation is complete. You are also comfortable with directing your staff to ensure accurate notes are done.
• Leadership: You have experience in leading a team and supervising others. You know how to motivate and direct your staff in a way that drives services and aligns with the agency mission and vision.
• Mental / Behavioral Health Knowledge: In this program DBT is the primary treatment modality utilized. You are familiar with this type of modality, and have experience working with a diverse consumer/client population. You are also adaptable and are able to meet consumers where they are in treatment. Having knowledge in Trauma Informed care will also be helpful in this position.

Essential Functions:

1. Oversee and provide guidance to the FAW’s within the program who provide assistance to clients on skill development per their individualized treatment plans.
2. Work with an integrated treatment team, including case managers and the psychiatrist to provide consistent care.
3. Work alongside school staff to meet the needs of the students/clients.
4. Maintain records according to clinical policies and procedures in a timely fashion.
5. Oversee and assist FAW’s in the creation of a daily calendar of therapeutic activities that focus on identified treatment plan goal need areas.
6. Provide assistance to client and family with community resources.
7. Communicate with parents/guardians with the needs, behaviors, etc of the child.

Non Essential Functions:

1. Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures.
2. Complete all required training.
3. Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community.
4. Attend both clinical and administrative meetings as required.
5. Conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy as needed.
6. Other duties as assigned.
