The X-Ray Supervisor provides clinical, organizational, and scheduling support/leadership to a fast paced, multimodality multi-location radiology practice. The position with a technical focus on X-Ray, will facilitate workflow by acting as a clinical liaison between all modalities, radiologist's, and front desk to maximize clinical services on a daily basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly technologist schedules in x-ray to coordinate with current radiologist staffing in order to maximize workflow including vacations, eTime issues, and related day-to-day coverage
- Communicate daily department staffing challenges to all departmental director, managers and supervisors, as well as, any outside departments it may affect
- Perform clinical exams as needed in any location
- Organize/approve add on "stat" exams to maximize workflow within the department
- Assist Radiology Manager in development of clinical x-ray protocols for use within the entire practice
- Lead contact in the preparation and oversight of all DOH inspections, as well as Practice Health and Safety inspections
- Independently resolve issues and coordinate appropriate departmental resources (clerical, file room, clinical) when needed to facilitate workflow. Follow up as needed
- Maintain daily contact as needed with Radiology Managers in US and Women's Imaging
- Inform Radiology Manager, on a daily basis, of all departmental activities needing supervisory action
- Perform all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to: evaluations, corrective action, time cards, etc.
- Responsible for machine maintenance and recordkeeping of any type
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in all aspects
- Maintenance of all supplies and ordering systems for each location
- Ensure technologist compliance in credentialing and mandatory trainings
- Perform other related duties assigned as necessary

Required Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in radiology, health care administration, public health, business administration, or related degree or Radiology Certificate
- ARRT certification/licensure
- NYS Radiology License
- 3+ years of experience as a technologist with 2+ years supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to all staff and physicians
- Proven excellent organizational skills and ability to function independently in all administrative aspects of the standard office-operating environment (typing, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proven knowledge of standard policies, procedures, and protocols to supervise the department directly
- Proven knowledge of radiology standards to evaluate work of technologists. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Maintain a well-organized, clear, "thinking" approach to all systems
- Proven skills in identifying and resolving problems
New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
