About the Job
Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a full time Wound Nurse (RN). Monday through Friday. Will provide treatment and comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the organization. Will provide patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies. Is the resource person for physicians wound team and clinical staff. Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties within the scope of practice that they are licensed to perform. All nursing activities must be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, including the policies and procedures of the organization. Performs resident assessment in conjunction with Unit Manager/ADON/DON through use of direct physical assessment, behavior monitoring, various assessment forms, review of hospital records, laboratory results, resident medical records, and information provided by the interdisciplinary team, resident and/or the resident's significant others. Monitors residents for changes in condition that may indicate progress or deterioration in the resident's overall status. Notifies physicians and families of changes and transcribes orders received.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Current RN License with the State of Illinois
- Current CPR Card
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- Prefer at least 1 year experience of long term care nursing
