Wound Care Technician - Mayfield Care Center

Job Summary:

Assist wound care patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care. Assist the wound care nurse with patient care needs that are provided to wound care patients in an in-patient setting, under the direct supervision of the Wound Care Nurse. Provide basic nursing care to patients within the nursing assistant’s scope of practice that includes actions that meet psychosocial needs and physical needs. Demonstrate the ability to communicate to the RN and LPN any observed changes in patient status and responses. Maintain awareness of the needs of the geriatric and general patient population.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program.
• Minimum of six months to one year of wound care experience, preferred.
