We are seeking dedicated Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN). The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for delivering quality wound care and preventative measures to maintain skin integrity of assigned residents in compliance with applicable federal and state guidelines and established policies and procedures.

RN Wound Care Coordinator must have the following:
- Nursing License required by the state. (RN or LPN)
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience as an LPN/RN.
- The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift and move items and patients weighing at least 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Must be able to speak and write the English language.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
As a skilled, compassionate Wound Care Nurse, you will:
- Utilizes the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents wound and skin integrity, including rounds, measurements, interdisciplinary care plan review, treatment recommendations, physician orders, and required documentation.
- Collecting and documentation of residents’ skin status including medical history.
- Wound care prevention and prevention through plan of care.
- Sets priorities for nursing action for wound care and prevention.
- Communicates with physicians regarding resident wound needs.
- Initiates nutritional interventions to ensure that residents with wounds are provided nutrition to promote wound healing.
- Performs direct resident care utilizing established procedure, policies, and standards.
- Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with the physician’s orders.
- Conducts rounds frequently to ensure that residents with incontinence are receiving pericare and preventative ointments timely.
- Performs duties in a safe manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
