TEKsystems, is looking for an experienced IT Support Technician in Lexington, KY to provide end user support throughout the state of Kentucky. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, installing software and hardware, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel overnight 1-2 times per quarter to different locations within the state. Good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach are essential for success in this role. 5+ Years of Professional hardware/software troubleshooting experience
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and resolves simple Desktop/Laptop problems
- Installs/Maintains/Acquires of Desktops/Laptops/Software/Peripherals located throughout the organization.
- Performs Client LAN/hard disk cleanups; assists with end user questions and problems.
- Participates in performance monitoring and tuning of PC Systems under the guidance of more experience peers or supervisor.
- Receives work direction from supervisor or more experience peers on work priorities and daily assignments.
- Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work.
- Effectively communicates with clients, peers and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, and management.
- Works in conjunction with Technology Support Services/Managers of Information Technology/IT Development to ensure that client’s problems/changes are completed within current Service Level Agreements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Great organization skills and customer service skills are necessary.
- Willingness to travel to different work sites 2-3 days a week and ability to stay overnight 1-2 times per quarter
- Hotels will be reimbursed by TEKsystems.
- Will get mileage reimbursement at the federal mileage rate.
- Contractor is responsible for paid parking, majority of locations have free spots available.
Experience Level:
Expert Level (5+ Years of Professional hardware/software troubleshooting experience)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00
