About the Job
Workforce Management Application Architect is responsible for the design and development of enterprise applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and support of assigned WFM applications, with primary focus on implementing and supporting UKG Advanced Scheduling. Supports production and maintenance support, ensures high availability, project implementation, technical mentorship, process improvement, and quality assurance of applications in our environment.
Hours: Monday-Friday, Days- On call rotation required
Travel: Limited travel required
This position is remote/work from home with preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Application Development, Implementation and System Maintenance
- Implements new applications or makes changes to existing systems within a multifunctional project team. This includes project planning, requirements definition, detailed design, development, testing cycles, go live events and stabilization support.
- Designs and develops technical architecture for application environments as well as development environments.
- Ensures application performance meets customer needs using database schema design and performance tuning methods.
- Designs applications to meet scalability, security and compliance requirements
- Completes extracts, transforms and loads data hosted in relational databases or other file formats. Supports data migration/conversion strategy and manages large data loads and other data movement tools.
- Gathers business requirements for supported applications. Designs, coordinates, tests and supports applications
- Leads medium and large projects involving multiple teams and integrated systems.
- Leads decision-making discussions to determine long-term strategy for implementation of tools and systems.
- Creates processes and tools to ensure systems are highly available. Works with all support teams who support our environments to ensure systems are properly maintained and monitored.
- Maintains proper documentation for applications, databases, reports, and interfaces. Identifies, evaluates, and implements documentation tools.
Issue Resolution
- Independently supports and resolves complex issues with assigned applications in adherence with service expectations and change management policies.
- Takes ownership of escalated customer issues and works with multiple parties and/or vendor to help resolve issue.
- Provides day and after hours on-call coverage as scheduled. May assume additional on-call responsibilities as directed by Manager.
- Follows and may lead the enhancement process and Change Management Policies and Procedures
Operational Support and Improvement
- Researches and communicates options to support decision-making discussions to determine
- strategy for implementation of tools and systems
- Researches solutions to improve service such as processes, standards and/or products.
- Participates in decision-making or technical solution-oriented discussions
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience:
- Required: At least 2 year's experience building, configuring and supporting a workforce management system
- Preferred: UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions)
