We are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a proven track record in managing workers compensation claims. This position will oversee the administration of workers' compensation claims, ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the workers' compensation claims process, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
2. Develop and implement claims handling procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Coordinate with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to ensure accurate and timely resolution of claims.
4. Conduct regular audits of TPA claims to ensure adherence to company guidelines and policies.
5. Collaborate with various departments to develop strategies for reducing workers' compensation costs.
6. Provide guidance and training to staff on workers' compensation claims handling procedures and regulations.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
8. Prepare and present regular reports on claims status, financial impact, and trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers compensation claims management.
3. Proven experience working with TPAs and handling TPA claims.
4. Certification in ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and/or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) is highly desirable.
5. Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Proficient in using claims management software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
10. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
