Our esteemed legal firm is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Permanent Workers Compensation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a passion for advocacy and a keen interest in Workers Compensation Law. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where you will handle complex legal issues and make a meaningful impact on our clients' lives.
Responsibilities:
As a Workers Compensation Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Representing clients in all aspects of Workers Compensation Law, including attending hearings, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials.
2. Conducting thorough case analysis and investigations to determine the validity of a claim.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating settlement agreements.
4. Preparing and delivering legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under Workers Compensation Law.
5. Developing and implementing case strategies in collaboration with other team members.
6. Conducting legal research and preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memorandums.
7. Maintaining case management systems and ensuring all case-related documents are correctly filed and updated.
8. Liaising with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
9. Staying updated with the latest changes in Workers Compensation Law and integrating this knowledge into your practice.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Must be admitted in New Jersey (NJ) and Pennsylvania (PA).
2. Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
3. Must have 0-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in Workers Compensation Law.
4. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
5. Must have strong legal writing skills, with the ability to draft compelling legal documents.
6. Must have excellent case management skills, with the ability to handle a large caseload effectively and efficiently.
7. Must have strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
8. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
9. Must have a strong work ethic and a commitment to professional development.
