We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Worker's Compensation Associate Attorney to join our thriving legal team. This opportunity is perfect for a 1-4 year professional who is passionate about practicing law, building a legal practice, possesses a deep understanding of worker's compensation laws, and is ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position requires a license to practice law in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities:
As a Worker's Compensation Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex worker's compensation cases from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Represent clients in all phases of worker's compensation litigation, from initial intake through trial.
2. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare and argue cases before the Worker's Compensation Board.
3. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring their rights are protected and they receive the compensation they deserve.
4. Provide legal advice to clients regarding their worker's compensation claims, explaining the legal process, their rights, and potential outcomes.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the effective management of cases.
6. Stay updated on changes in worker's compensation laws and regulations, and educate clients and colleagues on these changes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Worker's Compensation Associate Attorney position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.
