WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Worker’s Compensation Administrator manages the daily administrative tasks for various worker’s compensation stakeholders including injured workers, healthcare offices, plant, and field management, as well as our third-party claims adjusters. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Submit new losses to our insurance carrier in a timely & effective manner while managing open and active claims.
- Accurately and thoroughly document claim information, including conversations, and maintain a comprehensive electronic file of communications related to the claim.
- Schedule daily tasks to follow up on claim-specific activities and ensure tasks are kept current.
- Report claims information and injury reports accurately and promptly to the appropriate insurance carrier.
- Communicate with the claims adjuster and defense attorney (when applicable) to provide necessary information for the appropriate handling and resolution of each claim.
- Contact the treating physician following the injured team member’s appointment to obtain diagnosis, work restrictions, and treatment plan.
- Act as liaison between all parties to ensure claims keep moving and team members get the proper treatment required to return to their pre-injury state.
- Provide training and onboarding to plant and field management when necessary.
- Participate in onsite plant visits when necessary.
- Embrace and adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous customer service experience with a strong value of service to others with the ability to make decisions in accordance with state WC laws and department standards.
- Must be trustworthy and can manage highly confidential information with the utmost care and discretion.
- Ability to multi-task and track the status of assigned claims to a successful and timely completion while staying organized.
- Manage and prioritize a heavy workload to meet deadlines.
- Computer and internet proficiency.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
- Associates degree or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- Previous experience with worker’s compensation or claims.
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
This is a hybrid role, partially based at the Corporate Headquarters, combining time in a traditional office setting with remote work from your professional home office. You will be expected to work on-site at minimum three days a week. The position requires sitting for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
