Title: Workday Software Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

As a member of the Workday HR Technology Team, the Workday Software Developer will gather requirements from users to analyze and create high-level solutions that meet company architecture standards. They will design, develop, and maintain integrations within the Workday ecosystem. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Designing scalable solutions following enterprise architecture guidelines, being involved in all aspects of solution engineering
- Using technical knowledge, creativity, and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems
- Owning the solution from requirements gathering to final delivery, working with various partners, including users, architects, developers, and release team members
- Capturing requirements from users with a focus on the complete solution
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations using best practices and industry standards
- Coordinating with the architecture team to ensure solutions meet company standards
- Working with developers in translating requirements into final products
- Validating solutions against requirements and working with users to obtain sign-offs
- Monitoring platform health and working with Workday to resolve product issues
- Performing impact analysis of current functionality due to Workday upgrades, and planning and executing mitigation steps to minimize impacts
- Identifying test scenarios, preparing test cases, and executing test plans to ensure quality deliverables
- Keeping documentation up to date for all changes and new development within integration spaces
- Interfacing with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction
- Collaborating with other developers and providing significant contributions to develop specifications to resolve business client questions, problems, and address enhancement needs
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Workday Integration experience required, including an understanding of the different types of Workday integrations, capabilities, and limitations
- 5+ years of HR domain experience required, with basic HR domain knowledge, including Core, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Performance, and Absence modules
- Expert-level knowledge in developing integrations using EIB, Cloud Connect, and/or Workday Studio
- Hands-on experience using Workday APIs (both get/put)
- A thorough understanding of XML/XSLT, Document Transformation, and utilizing them in integrations
- Knowledge of Workday Business Processes and Integration Security
- Experience generating complex Workday reports and calculated fields
- Knowledge of all phases of software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support
- Experience writing and reviewing software design specifications in an object-oriented development environment
- Knowledge of standard change management tools and processes
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and work under minimal supervision
- Ability to respond directly to questions from business clients, working in a team environment
- Experience with Agile methodologies preferred
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline
