Job Brief:
We are seeking a dedicated Workday Integration Developer with hands-on experience in developing, testing, deploying, and supporting integrations within Workday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing Workday integrations, ensuring alignment with business needs, and optimizing integration performance. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and experience with Workday integration tools, including EIB, Workday Studio, and CORE connectors.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end development, project management, implementation, support, and deployment of Workday integrations for new integrations as well as maintaining and enhancing existing ones.
- Gather requirements, develop, manage, and support Workday integrations with internal and external applications.
- Independently develop clean, maintainable integration systems and perform peer reviews of integration designs.
- Monitor and recommend optimizations for the health and performance of Workday integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and communicate production issues within agreed SLAs.
- Manage multiple system releases, provide impact analysis, perform testing, and release management.
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the integration deployment process.
- Recommend continuous improvement ideas to reduce costs, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with information security standards during integration system development.
- Assess the technical viability of new and emerging Workday products and functionality.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
- Communicate clearly with teammates and stakeholders.
- Coordinate defect correction during all integration testing cycles.
- Communicate risks in development tasks and collaborate with the Project/Team Manager to mitigate risks.
- Identify and communicate best practices and implement them in integration systems.
- Understand business dependencies and constraints with other functionalities and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or at least 6 years of experience in a technical application environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Workday experience developing and supporting end-to-end integrations across multiple functions (Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Finance, Procurement).
- Deep hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including EIBs, reporting, data transformation, and Workday Studio.
- Strong knowledge of Workday’s security model, business processes, reporting, and configuration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently resolve issues and take accountability for tasks.
- Strong multitasking skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines despite conflicting demands.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates.
- Self-motivated, independent worker with limited supervision.
- Experience in evaluating current product quality and improving processes and services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Orchestration and Workday Extend experience.
- Workday Pro Certification (preferred but not required).
- Consulting experience in the Workday ecosystem.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance is a plus.
Note: This is a hybrid role, and the candidate will be required to travel occasionally for on-site visits. The position is temp-to-hire, requiring full-time commitment.
