Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workday Enterprise Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday's suite of applications and a proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions that align with business needs. As a Workday Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the Workday architecture, ensuring it remains scalable, efficient, and adaptable to the organization's evolving requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate a clear architectural strategy for Workday implementation and integration, considering business goals, technology trends, and best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design end-to-end Workday solutions that address functional requirements, data integrity, and user experience.
Design and oversee the integration of Workday with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.
Architect solutions that are scalable and high performing, anticipating future growth and demands on the Workday platform.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in the implementation of Workday solutions and adherence to architectural guidelines.
Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and compliance requirements, ensuring data security and privacy are maintained.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, and Operations to align the Workday architecture with the organization's broader technological landscape.
Stay updated on Workday updates, releases, and new features to recommend enhancements and optimizations that align with business needs.
Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies related to Workday architecture, ensuring business continuity and minimizing disruptions.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, decisions, and implementation plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience (8+ years) designing and implementing Workday solutions, with a focus on large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of Workday's suite of applications, including HCM, Financials, Payroll, and Integrations.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, SAAS platforms and architecture patterns.
Proficiency in system integration methodologies, data migration, and API-based integrations.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Workday certification(s) such as Workday Pro, Workday Integration, or similar, would be a plus.
