Description
We are looking for two qualified applicants to fulfill Work Planner Project Coordinator positions on our FirstEnergy project. 1 WPPC will be responsible for the Erie, Warren and Bradford service areas and the other position is intended to cover DuBois, St Marys and Clarion. The selected individuals will be expected to start performing duties immediately.
- Job location required: The geographical location shall be within the customers’ geographical service area. Travel may be necessary for some project oversight and is to be expected.
- Qualities desired: organizational and management skills, computer skills and technically proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software products.
Work Planner Project Coordinator Summary of Responsibilities
- All Work Planner Responsibilities as detailed in the Transmission and Distribution Work Planner Responsibilities and Landowner Notification
- Additional Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide support as needed to obtain pesticide license and ISA certification.
- Coordinate with FE for yearly vegetation plan, assign areas/circuits to planners.
- Promotes positive safety culture.
- Drive safety, consistency, accountability, and production. Promote a local and regular field presence.
- Training of new and current staff to specs and FE requirements.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to work planners.
- Assist with implementation and use of work management solution.
- Schedule and lead quarterly progress meetings.
- Work Planner Timesheet approval and submission.
- QA/QC audits of field work.
- Main point of contact for FE Representatives.
- Recruiting assistance with regional colleges and universities. Ambassador for the 3rd party company as well as for FirstEnergy’s program.
- Able to travel to location where they’re needed most in neighboring FE territories.
- Storm response responsibilities and coordination of work planners for possible work in other FE work areas.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management preferred.
Additional comments regarding the role
- The expectation is that 50+% of the selected individuals time will be spent in the coordinator role.
- Once primary responsibilities as Project Coordinator are complete the expectation is that they perform work planning activities.
- The expectation for this role is that the individual is working on FE property full time.
