I am having a need for an experienced wiring/harness designer with PLM/Creo proficiency, helpful if they know Electric Lines in Creo or Pro-E also. I'm needing an ONSITE resource/TPL for here in Tucson. The projects will be related to reading/interpreting schematics, creating the wire and cable routings, using TC Workflow to release the prints, working with harness suppliers on questions they have about manufacturing the harnesses, and supporting questions from test and field when wiring failures occur on the design. The application for the wiring is Autonomous large mining trucks, but electronic or software experience is NOT required, so worker can be a mechanical engineer with high Creo proficiency. We have two Caterpillar engineers that can train and support during the projects. We would want this person to work the remainder of this year and (assuming budget is available) also all of next year, with potential of continuing to work with our team on renewals of the TPL so long as there is need and the person is a great performer we would want to keep working with us longer term.
Excellent communication skills is desired, as this person will participate in design meetings explaining the progress of their work and design decisions.
If you have any resumes that may suit, please send them to me as soon as you can. Wanted to give you an opportunity to provide a resource if you have someone with this capability. I will say the preference is Tucson location, but we could manage if the person was located in Peoria instead, and preferred not to move.
