Position: Wireless Modem HW Support Engineer (Contract Role)

Responsibilities- Work closely with Digital hardware engineers in the lab to drive innovations in our clients modem solutions.
- Collaborate with RF HW engineers in the lab to develop the Modem RF HW platform.
- Operate test equipment both automatically and manually as required.
- Document verified results comprehensively.
- Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities with management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Collaborate with Platform HW engineers in the lab.
- Possess some knowledge of wireless test equipment (e.g., 3GPP call boxes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) in the lab.
- Have some programming skills to maintain automatic lab measurements.
- Have some experience with digital measurement methods like oscilloscopes.
- Hands-on electrical HW modification experience, such as soldering wires.
- Knowledge and experience of embedded systems, hardware abstraction layers, and system software are preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- Good to sound knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is required, Masters Degree is preferred.
- Motivation and desire to accomplish hardware test quality/accuracy.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases is preferred.
