We are hiring a Wire Harness Technician for an exciting opportunity with an automotive manufacturer. You will be a part of a team supporting the building of prototype vehicles.
Responsibilities
+ Update vehicles with harnessing and electronic components as per blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions.
+ Assist and perform vehicle build activities.
+ Build, modify, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
+ Create, modify, and maintain wiring harnesses and test the connections as required.
+ Check and verify the operation of the electric and mechanical systems installed in the vehicles.
+ Assist in troubleshooting any issues found.
+ Support issue resolution in conjunction with the rest of the team.
+ Document any issues found and the steps taken to resolve them.
+ Assemble and install heavy cables on prototype vehicles.
+ Verify, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles' electrical and electronic systems, and instrumentation.
+ Organize the shop to provide simplicity in gathering parts and components to increase the efficiency of the prototype wiring facility.
+ Help with the build of the prototype vehicle.
+ Verify test truck specifications (hardware/software) and resolve spec compatibility issues.
+ Provide feedback to responsible Design Engineer(s) on assembly status and emerging issues.
+ Perform issue diagnostics utilizing proprietary software tools.
+ Document and support issue resolution during the vehicle build process.
Essential Skills
+ 2 years of relevant experience required.
+ Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.
+ HV3 Certification (vehicle high voltage safety training) or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
+ Understanding of diagrams and documentation of Low Voltage harnesses along with routing requirements.
+ Ability to assemble and repair harnesses with a full understanding of specialty tools requirements.
+ Truck/Automotive experience is a plus.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Team player.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to test drive and diagnose issues in mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Experience in the assembly and repair of Low Voltage harnesses.
+ Understanding of High Voltage cable assembly and routing requirements.

Great team culture with a focus on teamwork and positive attitudes. The role involves working in a shop environment, often fast-paced, and handling multiple projects. You will be working on building a prototype electrified truck fleet, contributing to an innovative and growth-oriented workplace.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00
