Position Title: Department Manager - Wine Steward
Department: Wine & Spirits
Supervisor: Assistant Branch Manager / Branch Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt (paid by the hour)
Position Summary: Manages the Wine & Spirits department in the branch. Responsible for receiving product, ensuring that aisles are stocked, clean and well-merchandised, following compliance policies and providing helpful customer service.
Key Tasks:
+ Follow state laws regarding the wholesale selling of alcohol (Restaurant Depot provides training and sets policies)
+ Ensure the department is ready for business
+ Keep shelves well-stocked with product
+ Build and maintain floor displays to highlight items
+ Ensure accurate price tags are posted for each item
+ Work with other branch personnel to attract new customers to the department
+ Help customers find relevant wine and spirits products to purchase
+ Communicate inventory needs and customer requests to buyer
Requirements:
+ Basic Outlook and Excel skills
+ Strong communication skills, multi-lingual a plus
+ Ability to lift/carry and stock shelves
