Hiring Role: Cedar Ridge Wine Representative
Reports to : Iowa Brand Representative
Position Summary:
A local leader in wine, Cedar Ridge looks to a hire passionate team player who has an entrepreneurial spirit. As a brand representative, your role at Cedar Ridge will reside primarily in Eastern Iowa with travel in key cities and counties. Travel includes but isn’t limited to Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and the Quad Cities. This individual is encouraged to be innovative with a business-oriented and customer-focused mindset. You will work closely with the marketing to expand our business together by supporting accounts with the tools they need to be successful. Your day to day will include selling to on and off premise accounts to build foundational relationships to secure in-store displays, retail buys, and sampling to consumers to support account sell through of existing product and cultivate brand loyalty in your market. You will be an integral part of Cedar Ridge wine in the Iowa.
Ongoing Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Visiting a minimum of 8 accounts per day;
- Execute proper pricing, campaign POS and merchandising of an account in a fair and timely manner.
- Tracking results of PODS, buys, and displays
- Delivering wine to accounts on a schedule and communicating with them in a timely manner.
- Improve sell through with relationship building, sampling/tastings, and communicate brand value to retailers.
- Pre-plan account visits with an agenda, selling purpose, and service opportunities.
- Track results by capturing commitments, updating goals and completing tasks.
- Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives through recaps with business partners and potential accounts.
Weekly:
- Performing a minimum of 1 samplings or account activations per week and increase based on account needs.
- Responsible for maintaining current relationships with retailers as well as building new relationships for increased placements
- Utilize Tables and Google Calendar to schedule future route and account visits.
Monthly:
- Completing required samplings, off-site events, and on-site visits.
- Updating the POD target lists and reporting your final results to management
- Coordinating and participating in sales meetings, on-site trainings, and supplier events as required.
- Occasional responsibilities may include travel outside the state to assist on out-of-state brand activations.
How we measure success:
- Tables data input and accuracy
- Tastings, account visits, and in market events are executed as required
- Monthly/Quarterly/Annual revenue goals and case volumes are being consistently met.
- Ability to provide quality customer service year-round

Minimum/Physical Requirements:
Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
Follow safety guidelines when operating the company motor vehicle.
Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or calculator
Physical demands with activity or condition existing an occasional to rare amount of time including walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
Ability to frequently lift and move 40 to 50 pound cartons and stand for extended periods of time.
Additional Details:
Full Time: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays for account events and sampling needs
PTO: 10 days yearly pro-rated and available after 60 days of employment
401k match after a year of employment

Paid Holidays: NYD, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
