Windows IT System Engineer
Hybrid: Monday-Thursday in office (Arlington, Va), Friday Remote
tasks will include:
- Reimage new laptops using Deployment Server and Intune imaging tools.
- Once imaged, they will work with the user to swap out the new laptop with the old one. This will include shipping and receiving of laptops to/from end users (refresh and give back) from/to our HQ.
- When the user receives the new laptop, they will assist the end user on the first login and setting up their accounts on the new laptop.
- Since they will be on site in HQ 4 days/week, they may also be tasked with troubleshooting end users related issues for staff working on site.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for KACE and InTune for End User Computing.
- Conduct EUC-related onboarding, relocation, and offboarding activities, continuously improving the onboarding process.
- Develop and update PC images and laptop models customized for needs to optimize onboarding, offboarding, and support processes.
- Perform patching operations using automated tools provided by the infrastructure team.
- Assist infrastructure teams with in-region data center activities, including after-hours emergency support and planned maintenance.
- Prepare and ship equipment as required for conferences.
Experience and skills will include:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Exchange
- Knowledge of Intune Imaging tools is a MUST
- Laptop, Desktop builds using Symantec Ghost.
- Good foundation in TCP/IP
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting, Ethernet and IP configuration
- Basic computer security principles (Anti-virus, anti-spam and personal firewall)
- Knowledge of software distribution and patch management.
- Experience with Wireless LAN, VPN access, SMS and MOM.
- A+ certified would be preferred
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
