Windows Server Operations Support Engineer - Element Materials Technology

We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Operations Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining Windows server environments. The role involves ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Element’s Windows server infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Server Administration: Manage and administer Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
• System Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential server issues. Respond to alerts and take corrective actions.
• Patch Management: Apply patches and updates to Windows servers in a timely manner to address security vulnerabilities and ensure system reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server-related issues, collaborating with other IT teams and vendors as needed. Provide technical support to end-users.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimization measures to ensure the efficient operation of Windows servers.
• Security Compliance: Enforce security policies and practices to protect Windows server environments from unauthorized access and potential threats.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup solutions for Windows servers. Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, system administrators, and network engineers to ensure seamless integration of Windows servers with the overall IT infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Windows server administration.
• Proficient in Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows server technologies.
• Experience with VMware virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with server hardware and storage systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be a US citizen 

Certifications (desired):

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE)
• CompTIA Server+
