The IT Services Division of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare seeks a talented and experienced Windows Server Administrator (IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer Ill)in Boise to provide leadership in the design, development, implementation, qualification, support, and operation of complex integrated system solutions. These positions require technical skills in planning, design and maintenance of critical enterprise server infrastructure and experience with network infrastructure integration of enterprise application servers, application delivery controllers and unified communication and collaboration systems.

This position requires residency in Idaho. If relocating to Idaho, the Department of Health & Welfare does not reimburse the cost of relocating. The department does not sponsor anyone with a work visa.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Design, develop, and deploy windows servers hosted in a virtualized environment
- Support and develop deployment packages in PowerShell
- Perform cryptography/PKI - SSL, TLS certificate management
- Use MS PowerShell (primary) and C# (secondary) to create custom scripts and snippets, able to read/write/utilize cmdlets and modules, understands VMWare and knowledge of the VMWare PowerCLI module, use REST API’s, administers Active Directory and Active Directory Modules (User, Computer, Group Policy, DNS, etc.)
- Performs configuration, security, and locking down Microsoft Windows OS systems
- Creates custom MS Windows OS WIM images
- Understands SSL, Group Policy, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, PowerShell Automation, Application Support, Vaulting, Windows Engineering, Virtualization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. - Considerable knowledge of current information technology trends and capabilities.Typically gained by a Bachelor's degree directly related to information technologyORat least four years of full time work experience in information technology.
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting network, server, or storage systems.Typically gained by at least four years of full time work experience where these duties were part of your primary job responsibilities.
- Experience resolving network or server problems.Typically gained by at least four years of full time work experience (within the last five years) where this was part of your primary job responsibilities.
- Experience working with end users to develop and implement information technology solutions for user computing needs in a business environment.Typically gained by at least four years of full time work experience interviewing and consulting with clients/users to develop and implement solutions to meet computing requirements in a business environment.
- Experience as a technical lead implementing or supporting network, server or storage systems.Typically gained by at least four years of full time job experience where this was part of your primary job responsibilities.
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.
- Strong experience with PowerShell is critical to being successful in this position.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. Gained by at least three year of related experience.
- IIS Understanding and knowledge of IIS Module management. Gained by at least three year of related experience.
- Secret/credential management with any vaulting tool: HashiCorp Vault preferred. Gained by at least three year of related experience
