We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows and Mobile Device Management Specialist to lead the migration of our on-premise Windows and mobile clients to Microsoft Entra and Intune. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and configuring Windows devices, mobile clients, and cloud-based services within a hybrid environment. This role will also involve the ongoing use of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for patch management and software deployment post-migration. The specialist will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition to Intune while supporting the hybrid environment's ongoing management and optimization.

Rate: $60 - $65 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the migration of Windows and mobile devices from on-premise environments to Microsoft Entra and Intune.
• Design and implement Intune for device management, while ensuring compatibility with existing SCCM infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to develop a migration strategy that minimizes downtime and disruption to users.
• Configure, deploy, and manage devices in Intune, ensuring policies, security, and compliance are enforced.
• Support the ongoing use of SCCM for software and patch deployment, working alongside Intune for hybrid device management.
• Provide technical expertise in managing Windows environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD), and group policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device management, including Intune, Entra, and SCCM integration.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of both on-prem and cloud environments to ensure seamless user experience.
• Create documentation, including migration plans, procedures, and support guides.
• Train and support IT staff on the use of Intune, Entra, and SCCM in the hybrid environment.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in managing Windows devices and mobile clients within a hybrid environment (Intune/SCCM).
• Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud-based services, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device management and configuration.
• Expertise in SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for patch and software deployment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, including co-management and hybrid configurations.
• Experience in leading device migration projects from on-prem to cloud-based environments.
• Solid understanding of security policies, compliance, and best practices for managing Windows and mobile devices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Microsoft certifications (such as Azure, Intune, or SCCM) are a plus.
Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience managing large-scale migrations to cloud environments.
• Experience working in a hybrid IT environment with both on-premise and cloud systems.
• Familiarity with other mobile device management (MDM) solutions including Intune, SCCM and Workspace One.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience).
• 4-6 years managing and migrating devices in MDM.
• 5 or more years expertise in migrating and managing devices into Intune from SCCM
