Under general direction of the Manager – Integration Engineers, acts as the primary technical resource supporting successful integration of solutions into customer environments. Responsibilities include technical needs analysis, project management, technical support, customer support, interface programming and testing. Generally, supports the implementation of company products through successful execution of assigned tasks. Effectively communicates technical specifications, program and test interfaces, and manages simultaneous assignments; assists Project Manager or Implementation Specialists by participating in interface planning, design, and review; and establishes interface milestones and manages the interface components of the project plan; knowledgeable and comfortable discussing HL7, LAN, WAN, VPN, TCPIP technologies with customer resources.
Job Description:
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Codes, tests, implements, and supports product interfaces.
- Performs technical needs analysis.
- Proficient in project management and planning.
- Provides third-tier technical support.
- Provides implementation and sales support.
- Responsible for mentoring entry level Integration Engineers.
- Interacts with customers to determine interface requirements and implements solutions according to the defined project guidelines.
- Communicates with product management regarding product/interface enhancements.
- Must have the desire and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
- Experience and educational requirements:
- Position requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years Healthcare IT, pharmacy automation, or related experience.
Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements:
- Software Development or Interface Development experience, preferably with C#, XML, or .NET
- Competent level of experience in using healthcare interfaces, messaging standards HL7; and application/data integration and methodology is required
- Competent level of experienced with LAN, WAN, VPN, TCPIP technologies
- Competent level of experience with SQL, MS-SQL preferred
- Competent level of experience with pharmacy automation and associated interfaces
- Outstanding problem-solving skills: ability to think creatively to find resolutions to complex problems
- Knowledge and understanding of business principles, processes and technology
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations and systems
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleagues
- Strong interpersonal skills
