Windows AI Selfhost Tech

Selfhost setup

• Contractor will be responsible to install device images on all selfhost devices (10-150 units).
• Communicate/interface with Client Windows OS team and identify and retrieve the early builds of Windows OS as a base.
• Communicate with platform software leads and identify collection of drivers, BIOS and applications that need to be added to device image.
• Use tools like DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images.
• Understand how to manage and extract the Windows Driver Store to migrate and install drivers.
• Generate basic scripts in PowerShell.
• Understand diskpart and storage device provisioning.

Testing

• Download and rum Microsoft ADK for testing.
  Run ClientSuspend to test sleep, hibernate and reboot cycles.
  Run ad hoc testing to reproduce failure scenarios.

Special Units

• Prep devices for demos (special HW configurations, SW and test loads)
  Run around Client Austin campus troubleshooting, delivering and replacing test devices.

Hardware Management

• Assemble computers, power supplies, memory, processors and other components and get device running.
• Read and follow CRB Guides to flash basic firmware to get CRBs working.
• Learn/know how to use dediprog to flash SPI components.
   

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering would be a nice to have but not a must have
