Wind Turbine Technician – Renewable Energy
LOCATION: Based in Fresno, various site locations in California
PAY: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 per year, eligible for discretionary bonuses
OVERVIEW:
We seek a Wind Turbine Technician to join our Renewable Energy team. Wind Turbine Technicians will support the construction and commissioning teams while learning the core management functions for projects within the renewable energy sector.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligible to work in the United States without needing employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the wind construction industry OR 3 years of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and composite skills.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
DUTIES:
- Ensure health and safety (HSE) compliance for all aspects of the engineering design phase of the projects.
- Perform mechanical and electrical pre-commissioning on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
- Understand the electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
- Monitors safety and production for their assigned scope on the job site.
- Works with the superintendent to evaluate the equipment needed for the project and ensure company-owned equipment is utilized as much as possible.
- Review the overall job cost of the project and prepare a monthly report analyzing the projected job costs and person-hour productions.
- Read and understand the OEM documentation and specifications.
- Assists project management in directing additional job staff, such as project administrators and labor forces, in their duties.
- Assists in producing, directing, and monitoring the project schedule with the superintendent and or supervisors.

SKILLS:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- PDF editor experience (Adobe, Bluebeam).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
- Must be willing and able to travel for prolonged project assignments.
- You can climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. in weight
- You have experience using and understanding tools such as hydraulic, tensioning, and torque tools (ITH, Boltight), as well as electrical diagnostic tools such as Fluke.
