Position: WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Clerk
Location: Kearney
Position Summary: WIC Clerks provide excellent customer service to participants, assist with recruitment and enrollment, and ensure efficient clinic flow.
Responsibilities:
- Assess eligibility of participants.
- Create, disseminate, and explain benefits to participants.
- Schedule WIC clinic appointments for participants.
- Refer participants to other programs as necessary.
- Provide security for equipment and benefit card stock.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Skills:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other program employees, agency stakeholders, and the general public.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Schedule/Hours: 32 hours per week; scheduled hours are 8 hours per day, Monday-Thursday.
Pay Rate: Entry wage range is $17.00 – 19.00/hr. Additional compensation may be available for applicants with a relevant degree or prior WIC experience.
Benefits: With benefits, the wage calculates to approximately $21.76 - $24.32 per hour. Agency benefits provided include: paid holidays, PTO, short term disability insurance, and Employee Assistance Program.
