About the Job
Our client, a rapidly growing apparel company specializing in men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. As our brand continues to expand, we are looking to add a dedicated Wholesale Sales Assistant to support our wholesale operations and partnerships with prominent big-box retailers.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60,000 – $70,000
Position Overview:
This Wholesale Sales Assistant person will also be involved in communication with top retailers and our brand partners, in addition to working closely with internal cross-functional teams such as Production and Design.
Responsibilities of the Wholesale Sales Assistant:
- Order Management: Process and manage wholesale orders from big-box retailers. Ensure timely and accurate entry of orders into the system. Coordinate order fulfillment with the warehouse team to ensure efficient delivery
- EDI Integration: Utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to streamline communication with retailers. Troubleshoot and resolve any EDI-related issues to ensure smooth order processing
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to monitor stock levels and ensure product availability for wholesale partners. Assist in demand forecasting and planning to meet the needs of big-box retailers
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service. Proactively update retailers on order status and product availability
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of wholesale transactions, including invoices, packing slips, and shipping documents. Prepare regular sales and inventory performance reports
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure alignment between wholesale strategies and business goals. Provide administrative support to sales representatives, including preparing sales presentations and samples
Qualifications for the Wholesale Sales Assistant:
- Previous experience in wholesale operations, preferably within the apparel industry
- Proficiency in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and EDI software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
