Cogir Senior Living is hiring an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated LVN//RN Health and Wellness Director for our vibrant assisted living community, Cogir of Belmont (formerly Vista Terrace).
The Health and Wellness Director is an integral member of the management team and works closely with the Executive Director to ensure the health and wellness of our residents, performing initial and ongoing assessments and observation of our residents' physical and psycho-social needs, while coordinating with other departments to assure the highest quality of care. They interact directly with employees, residents, resident family members, vendors, and professional contacts within the community. They provide training, supervision, and coaching of the clinical team while helping build a positive and energetic atmosphere within the community. Responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of the community, while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, as well as company policies.

What will you do as the Health and Wellness Director?
- Foster a resident-centered approach to the planning and delivery of services to residents, supporting residents' rights to participate in decision-making and treating residents with dignity and respect.
- Assess the health, functional, and psychosocial status of residents, initiating individualized service plans, proactively managing care and services for each resident, and maximizing their opportunity to remain in the assisted living or memory care environment.
- Establish and maintain the medication program.
- Oversee all hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and termination of employment of employees in the clinical department with attention paid to consistency in the selection and retention of quality personnel.
- Direct supervision, training, and development of licensed nursing staff (LPN/LVN), Med Techs/CMA/CNAs, and all Care staff.
- Communicate regularly with residents' families regarding health care needs.
- Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses, in accordance with company, Federal, State, and local requirements.
- Maintain and articulate up-to-date knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to resident care.
- Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date.
- Participates in the management team's marketing efforts by representing the community positively to outside agencies.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
- Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
- LVN/LPN or RN nursing license in good standing.
- Minimum of 4 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/management position, with experience with budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling. Additional coursework in management is an asset.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Maintains a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population, and individuals living with memory loss.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position.
- Capacity to be on-call 24/7.
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State Regulations
