Morrison Living is hiring immediately for a Wellness Dietitian position.






+ Location: Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay - Virginia Beach, VA


+ Setting: 612-bed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC); Focus will be on wellness for independent living


+ Schedule: Two (2) days per week, Monday - Friday; days are flexible but need to be consistent week to week


+ Pay: Up to $37 hr. - based on experience

Job Summary






We are seeking an energetic and passionate Registered Dietitian to lead wellness-focused nutrition care and programing for our senior living community in Virginia Beach, VA. This role combines clinical expertise with a passion for improving the health and quality of life of our residents. In this part-time role the RDN will implement wellness programing including group courses and presentations; they will track data and report outcomes, provide outpatient nutrition consultation services, collaborate with dining services to support menu integration of health-focused cuisine, and support the community’s sustainability initiatives related to food and nutrition.





Essential Functions and Key Tasks:






+ Design and implement wellness initiatives such as nutrition education workshops, cooking classes, group discussions, and one-on-one counseling.


+ Promote programs within assigned community to drive participation


+ Collaborate with community leadership on wellness related activities and initiatives


+ Collect and analyze data to inform program development


+ Maintain accurate records of nutrition counseling sessions in compliance with standards






Education and Experience:






+ Must be a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist (RDN) and have state licensure if required


+ Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/Dietetics, successful completion of Dietetic Internship or equivalent.


+ Experience in wellness program implementation and/or outpatient counseling preferred


+ Experience working with the older adult population preferred


+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
