About the Job
Our Campus Wellness Coordinator will focus on the health and well-being of Team Members through activities that improve morale, productivity and making UWM a great place to work. Responsibilities usually vary widely, keeping every day exciting. Generally, you can expect to work 40 hours per week, occasional evening/weekend hours might be required. Most time will be spent within our Fitness Center or surrounding outdoor campus areas. There may be some local travel involved if we participate in events with the community or local businesses.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate fitness activities for a wide variety of ability levels.
- Maintain wellness- and fitness-related schedules, records, and reports
- Oversee fitness and recreation areas, ensuring safe and clean facilities and equipment
- Demonstrate proper operation of fitness equipment, such as resistance machines, cardio machines, free weights, etc.
- Work in partnership with Benefit and Marketing Teams to develop campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in fitness and wellness programs
- Select and work with contractors, such as athletic officials, fitness, and wellness practitioners.
- Outgoing personality, love of people and a strong health & wellness advocate!
- Multitasking and organizational skills are a must.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
- Knowledge of general benefit policies/procedures or the ability & willingness to learn
- Experience in Word, Excel, or other applicable database programs
- Effective communication skills, oral & written
- Strong organizational skills
- High School Diploma required
- On site attendance required
