We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The TIG Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and care. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, experience with various metals, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. This role involves interpreting blueprints, working with stainless steel and aluminum, and ensuring safety and accuracy in all welding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to execute jobs efficiently.
- Set up welding equipment and choose appropriate tools for each welding project.
- Inspect welded joints for quality, ensuring they meet specifications and safety standards.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, and other equipment in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other welders to complete projects on time.
- Follow all safety guidelines, ensuring proper protective equipment is worn and work areas are kept safe.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to metal fabrication, cutting, and finishing.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in welding (preferred).
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum.
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, and welding equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to work long hours in a physically demanding role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require working in extreme temperatures (hot or cold), with exposure to fumes, chemicals, and loud noises.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Regular use of heavy machinery and power tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $26.00 per hour
