About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings to understand the specifications for heat treat equipment fabrication.
- Utilize welding techniques such as Mig and Stick welding to fabricate and join metal components, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
- Operate an oxygen acetylene cutting torch and plasma cutter to cut and shape metal as required for the fabrication of heat treat equipment.
- Use tape measures, clamps, and a variety of hand tools to accurately measure, cut, and assemble metal components in accordance with provided specifications.
- Employ a sander/grinder to smooth and finish welded pieces, ensuring the final products meet industry standards.
- Assemble, fit, weld together, and finish heat treat equipment, ensuring that all components adhere to the precise specifications outlined in the blueprints and drawings.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines while working with welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient completion of projects within established timelines.
- Contribute to quality control processes, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues to ensure the production of top-quality heat treat equipment.
- Experienced with both Mig weld, and Stick weld.
- Proficient with an oxygen acetylene cutting torch, plasma cutter, tape measure, clamps, sander/grinder, and the use of basic hand tools.
- Able to read mechanical blueprints and drawings.
- Experience assembling, fitting and welding together basic pieces of equipment.
