Weights & Mass Property Engr 3 at US Tech Solutions

Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:

· Develops complex weight, balance and mass properties data. Determines approaches to developing data and analyzes and compares results.

· Defines complex weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements. Participates in developing customer specification commitments. Provides complex vehicle or system configuration guidance.

· Leads individual design team weight control efforts. Estimates, calculates and measures and verifies mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems.

· Develops and maintains weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems and generates weight and balance reports. Creates, develops and implements new processes and tools to facilitate improved design and analysis capabilities. Works under general direction.

Responsibilities:

· Develop complex weight, balance and mass properties data.

· Determine approaches to developing data and analyses and comparing results.

· Participate in developing program and customer specification requirements.

· Estimate, calculate and measure and verify mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems.

· Develop and maintain weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems and generate weight and balance reports.

Experience:

· 3+ years of experience in weights and mass properties engineering

· Experience using CATIA or similar design modeling tool

Skills:

· CATIA V5/V6

Education:

· Bachelor in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and 5 or more Years of related exp.
