About the Job
The Weekend Shift Manager is responsible for all shift operations including production, material movement, labor, and food safety. The Weekend Shift Manager will ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently, and accurately.

* Provide direct leadership to the Weekend Frosting leads and associates as well as the seasonal Gift assembly lead and associates.
* Lead and mentor the weekend shift supervisor/leadership team with responsibility for training & development.
* Execute the production and labor schedules.
* Deliver to shift productivity and labor standard expectations.
* Leads the weekend shift supervisor/leadership team with responsibility for training & development.
* Drive culture of team development and individual accountability to meet and exceed shift goals.
* Partner with Maintenance, Quality/ PD, and Planning to maintain product flow.
* Ensure all production is completed as scheduled, and that meets quality standards. Adherence to all GMP and SQF standards within the department.
* Responsible for food safety, quality and continuous improvement including LEAN Manufacturing.
* Drives production plan by scheduling/assigning personnel, accomplishing results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, & reporting results.
* Leads development activity for supervisors and other associates on the weekend shift.
* Develops or sources new ideas, concepts, or equipment to further improve the efficiency and or quality of all products. Participates and searches for process improvements in all areas of production.
* Ensures proper equipment operation & provides recommendations for new equipment/technology.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by retaining/developing world-class diverse talent.
* Standard work hours for the Weekend Shift Manager are Friday- Sunday 6am-6pm and Monday 8am-12pm. Hours and days may adjust based on business needs.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of food manufacturing experience is preferred.
* 5 years of experience managing at least 150 non-exempt associates reporting directly and indirectly.
* Experience with Oracle
* Experience with managing to key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives.
* Strong tactical management experience
