The State of Michigan (SOM) Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB)Center for Shared Solutions (CSS) eMichigan team is seeking to hire up to 6additional full-time systems analysts for 1-2 years to conduct reviews foradherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, whichinclude standards for branding and digital accessibility. The contract haspotential to extend beyond 2 years based upon SOM’s needs.Job Duties· Conduct reviews of SOM websites and applications for adherence with the SOMDigital Standards for Websites and Applicationso Test for digital accessibility using manual and automated tools includingscreen reader and other assistive technologyo Review for adherence with additional standards including brandingo Perform testing on desktop and mobile deviceso Thoroughly document review results· Provide results to application support teams and stakeholders and meet withteams to explain results· Work closely with eMichigan team members to ensure processes are followed andoptimized· Other duties as assignedRequirementsEducation· A certificate or degree in any field required, Information Technology (IT)preferred· Experience will be considered in lieu of a certificate or degreeExperience· 1 year of testing applications for digital accessibility (preferred 3+ years)· 1 year working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities· Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA· Advanced knowledge of digital accessibility testing methodologies· Advanced skills using assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver,TalkBack, and other assistive technologies· Advanced skills using accessibility evaluation tools and frameworks, includingWAVE, Developer Tools, Accessibility Inspector, and other accessibilityevaluation tools· Ability to use a variety of desktop and mobile devices and operating systems(OS), such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, Windows, MacBook, iOS, and Android· Ability to prepare detailed written documentation, maintain records, andconduct correspondence related to the work· Ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to theaudience· Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIALocation & HoursLansing, MichiganMonday - Friday 8am-5pmThis position will require in-office work for the first 1-2 months foronboarding. Following this, a hybrid schedule will be offered, requiring Mondayand Tuesday in-office and remote work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
