About The Role:
We are in search of a Web Application Developer to contribute to the development of our upcoming desktop applications for the next generation. The position will act as a technical authority for all aspects of web development, firm-wide architecture, and design initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a keen understanding of sound software design principles, a discerning eye for aesthetics, and a genuine interest in finance and capital markets.
What You'll Do:
- Offer architectural guidance, design expertise, and implementation support for the development of responsive applications spanning our trading, risk management, and research divisions.
- Develop and maintain key feature sets of the platform using industry proven design patterns, methods, and technologies
- Concentrate on crafting responsive and low-latency components tailored for applications handling large datasets.
- Collaborate closely with the quantitative research team to create innovative and user-friendly data visualization tools.
- Explore and prototype cutting-edge front-end technologies, tools, and visualization techniques through research and experimentation.
- Streamline the testing and deployment processes for new features across multiple teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience developing interactive front-end web applications
- Demonstrated history of full stack development proficiency, encompassing HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency as a result of experience in frameworks like Node.js, React, Material UI, and Spring Boot is preferred.
- Experience with SciChart a strongly desired
- Strongly prefer candidate with OpenFin and Trading industry experience.
- Experience with Postgres or other relational databases is highly valued.
- Capability to thrive in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
