Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
- Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
- Ability to present PowerPoint's and other communications to a large audience.
- Assist or lead 5S workshops
- Assist or Lead Kaizen events throughout the facility
- Benchmarking or Supporting other Magna Facilities for a short period of time.
- Perform time studies on humans and robots.
- Create standardized work documentation and upload to SharePoint.
- Join a few of the following Energy Team, Sustainability Team or one of the following Ergonomics Teams or Safety Team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Office environment: 35% sitting at desk; 65% on shopfloor activities
- Lifting as required up to 30 lbs.
EDUCATION:
- 4 year Bachelors of Engineering Degree or similar technical related discipline.
WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:
- One to two years related experience.
- A detailed understanding in the following areas, die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerancing concepts, working knowledge of Catia V4/V5.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills.

Pay range: $60,000 - $85,000 annual salary
