Responsibilities:
A fee for service, non-exempt, non-supervisory position. Primarily responsible for performing Watsu/Aquatic Massage treatments, providing excellent guest service and maintaining work area stocked, clean and up to Canyon Ranch standards. Reports to the Massage Manager and Assistant Manager.
Provide Services: Provides guests with a thorough and knowledgeable 50- minute professional Watsu/Aquatic Massage treatment, following Canyon Ranch protocols. Demonstrates respect, sensitivity and concern for guests’ needs. Practices universal health care protocols while dealing with guests and coworkers.
Preparation: Sets up and breaks down Watsu Dome before and after completion of shift; maintains a neat and well-stocked area. Assists with tidiness of the locker rooms. Sets up for anyone following in the Dome.
Communication: Communicates any needs or concerns to management, i.e., ordering supplies. Interacts cooperatively and with consideration towards guests and co-workers. Stays informed by checking mailbox, reading posted notices, etc.
Time Management: Exercises dependability and willingness to work with schedule flexibility. Arrives to work early enough to prepare for shift and start treatments on time. Maintains promptness and time management during each session and throughout shift.
Qualifications:Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).
Massage License in state providing services
Associate degree or two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required.
Demonstrates proficient communication, time management and listening skills.
Able to consistently perform services following established protocols.
Able to provide selected service in the the established timeframe.
Ability to handle confidential guest information.
First aid certification required within 90 days of employment.
Demonstrated experience providing exemplary guest service, knowledgeable about spa operations, services and activities.
