About the role
The Waterpark Operations/Admin Manager is a client facing position that, along with the Waterpark General Manger & Assistant General Manager, is responsible for the upkeep and operation of the indoor water park, lagoon, and all other aquatic facilities. This individual will work closely with all the other resort departments as well as 3rd party vendors to ensure that all equipment is operable, and the park is kept in pristine condition. This position must have the financial acumen to manage budgets, track supply inventories, and control labor costs throughout the waterpark operations. In the absence of the Waterpark General Manager & Assistant General Manager, this individual must be able to manage all Waterpark and Aquatic activities.
What you will be doing:
- Daily pre-opening walk-thru of the waterpark to ensure that all equipment is in working condition and the park is clean according to resort standards.
- Maintain documentation of the inspections highlighting potential safety concerns.
- Work closely with Engineering & Housekeeping to stay on top of maintenance and cleaning needs.
- Recruiting, onboarding, training & scheduling of lifeguards and other service personnel to meet the daily demands of guest volume.
- Communicate with Human Resources on staffing needs.
- Leading the team to provide exceptional customer service and a safe environment for the enjoyment of water park guests.
- Participate in developing the SOPs for all aspects of the waterpark operation.
- Conduct inventory and order supplies needed to operate the water park.
- Maintain supply costs within budgeted amounts.
- Interact with the Sales and Front Office teams to understand and prepare for upcoming business demands.
- Participate in Site Inspections and FAM trips to help the Sales team highlight the resort.
What you bring to the role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lifeguard Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certified
- Must be obtained within 30 days of hire date
- 3+ years of lifeguard training experience
- 3+ years in Waterpark Management
- Scheduling & recruitment experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license.
- Must be obtained within 30 days of hire date.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a large group of team members to provide exceptional customer service in a safe atmosphere.
