Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Foster strong relationships and open communication with clients across various water and wastewater projects, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Actively pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing client relationships and identifying potential growth areas.
Define project scopes, budgets, and work plans, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while adhering to established parameters.
Provide technical guidance to project teams, outline work plans, assign tasks and responsibilities, and proactively address any challenges that arise.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise project personnel and team members, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
Mentor and motivate staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Contribute to the preparation of calculations, reports, specifications, and other project deliverables, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Inspire team members to achieve excellence in their assigned tasks, promoting a culture of high performance.
Support the practice in achieving financial goals through effective project management and resource allocation.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring projects meet client expectations and adhere to engineering best practices.
Actively participate in proposal development, including defining work scopes, schedules, fees, and overall content, to secure new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
At least 12 years of professional experience as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with a minimum of 4 years in a project and personnel management role.
Current Professional Engineering (PE) license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain a North Carolina PE license within one year.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, with strong working knowledge of their features and functionality.
