Responsibilities
- Project Design and Development: Prepare designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings for water distribution, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities.
- Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to optimize system performance and capacity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Construction Support: Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, surveyors, and environmental scientists, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including design and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS).
- Licensure: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
