Job Summary
The Water Spider/Floater is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of materials and supplies to the production line. This role is essential for maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime by promptly delivering necessary items to workstations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Material Handling: Transport materials and supplies to and from the production line, ensuring all workstations have what they need to operate smoothly.
+ Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages to the team.
+ Coordination: Work closely with production staff to understand their material needs and adjust deliveries accordingly.
+ Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols while handling materials to maintain a safe work environment.
+ Support Production: Assist with additional tasks, such as cycle counts and other inventory-related duties, as needed.
Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Experience: 1-3 years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment as a Water Spider, Floater, or Material Handler.
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
+ Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with basic math skills for inventory tracking.
+ Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
+ Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are a plus.
