Job Summary:
Are you a seasoned Water Resources Engineer with a strong background in project management for water and wastewater infrastructure projects? Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including locally elected officials, service providers, and state administrators. Visit sites and attend client and public meetings to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction.
- Technical Excellence: Deliver high-quality, fiscally responsive, and operationally efficient solutions.
- Site Visits and Meetings: Conduct site visits and attend client/public meetings to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Manage project teams to ensure successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, business correspondence, and present information to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in design and construction administration of water utility and wastewater utility infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical background in water resource engineering, with expertise in planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases.
- Project Management:
- Ability to prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams to successfully execute projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with managers, clients, and the public.
- Organizational Skills: High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills to plan project resources, maintain schedules, and stay within budget.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
