Water Resources Engineer - WGI

About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality management. This role involves working on a variety of projects related to stormwater management, flood control, water supply, wastewater collection and environmental restoration.
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support water resources projects.
- Design and implement stormwater management systems, flood control measures, and water supply infrastructure.
- Perform water quality assessments and develop strategies for pollution control and environmental restoration.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, transportation/civil engineers, and urban planners.
- Assist with permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in field investigations and data collection activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to young engineers and project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida.
- 10 - 15 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., ICPR (aka Floodwise), HEC-RAS, SWMM).
- Strong understanding of water quality regulations and best management practices (BMPs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GIS software and spatial analysis.
- Knowledge of Florida's water management districts and regulatory framework.
- Familiarity with coastal engineering and climate resilience projects.
