Summary:
ITT Cannon is searching for a Warehousing Specialist to join their team in Irvine, CA. The Warehousing Specialist will be responsible for loading and unloading material within the warehouse or storage facility and will assist with daily activities including deliveries and general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing facility in a similar role.
Essential Responsibilities
- Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or vans within the storage facility.
- Drives a standard vehicle to assist with deliveries in a local area range.
- Measures and cuts cable required in manufacturing process.
- Assists with shipments, receiving, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Follows company procedures in compliance with AS9100 requirements
- Read hand written and computerized documents including Material Safety Data Sheets
Position Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Drivers License and meet the requirements of ITT’s Defensive Driver training and standards.
- This position requires view of controlled documents / NO FORN projects and therefore requires a U.S. Citizen.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, contractors, and vendors
- Understand oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints, in an organized manner
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Proficient using a PC and Microsoft Office applications
- Able to read and write in English
- Forklift experience is strongly preferred
- Work well in a team environment
- Lift up to 40lbs unassisted, on a regular basis
- SAP (or other ERP system) experience preferred
- Knowledge of safe handling and lifting procedures
- Hazmat training is a plus
